Ginger Garlic Saute

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Sesame Seeds Toasted
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 piece Small Onion Thinly Sliced
  • 2 cups Shredded Purple Cabbage
  • Sea Salt and Black Pepper
  • 1 inch piece Ginger Grated
  • 2 pieces Large Carrot Shredded
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • ½ teaspoon Toasted Sesame Oil

Instructions

  • To toast your sesame seeds, heat a dry sauté pan on low flame.
  • When the pan is hot, add the sesame seeds. Toast for about 2 minutes until golden.
  • Remove the sesame seeds from the pan so that they don’t continue cooking. Set aside.
  • Take a sauté pan and add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.
  • When the pan is hot, add the onions. Sauté until soft.
  • Add purple cabbage, salt, and black pepper. Allow the cabbage to soften.
  • Add ginger, shredded carrots, and garlic. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  • When the cabbage and other vegetables are soft to your liking, turn off the flame and top with toasted sesame oil and toasted sesame seeds.
